Bought this as a tiny hitchhiker on a carnation coral rock quite some time ago. I would normally never buy carnation coral because of its difficulty. However, I didn't care that it was a goner... I wanted it's pretty & unusual companion. The hitchhiker probably sped up it's demise. Anywho, it's pink/lavender w/ a green rim and encrusts. Has long polyp extension at night. My best guess is pavona..? Which is an LPS...:what:

Looks like a pavona. Most do consider it a LPS. Some don't. I consider it a SPS just like leptoseris. But there will always be a debate on those corals in the grey area.

Pavona is much easier to care for than carnation coral.
