What is this?

So these Zoa were growing quite well. Still grow but not nearly scythe same rate.

This white mat started in the center of them, at first I thought maybe that is how these ones expand there territory, but it seems not. This seems to grow on its own, and the polyps are not

as tightly packed together as the once were.

That's sponge and its slowly suffocating the zoas. I'd remove the sponge carefully with a soft brush.

Looks like sponge to me, smothering those zoas.

Edit: hah! Yes, get at it with a brush or even pull pieces of it off with a forceps.

Kinda what I was thinking. Any idea how to get rid of it but not damage the zoas?

Fine-tipped forceps and work carefully. Then give the area more light.
