That’s not good.

I can see the tip of the middle rotting a bit?

Usually leathers do something similar where they shrivel up and get this opaque coating to shed off built up algae.

Does this seem like the case for you here? Not sure how it looked when it was healthy.

1. Post your parameters

2. Post your tankmates: fish and other close coral

The numbers seem fine especially since the LPS seem to be doing fine.

Leathers can be weird sometimes.

How long has it been like this?

If I were you, I would cut away the weird deteriorating brown spot in the middle and see if the condition worsens.

Leathers to sometimes just shrink and come back after a refresh

That doesn’t look like shedding, but a rotting tissue. You should cut the rotting tissue so it won’t spread. Cut a bit more than needed.

Also, your nutrients spiked from nothing to something in 4 days?
Bottomed out nutrients and a sudden spike in itself can both cause stress.

I bought it for 80 dollars the store said it will be fine its been in my tank for 2 weeks now but its just getting worse at first it was shedding a lot of slime and it has been sitting just like a limp. Its not even getting up on foot.

This coral has been like this since i bought it it was like this in the store it self but the guy convinced me to buy it i feel like a fool.

bigger leathers will have a pretty hard time attaching to substrate and sometimes just wither away.

Yea definitely don’t spend money on a frag that does not look good.
