do you have a list of what you have available? Do you ship? I will be interested once i can keep colors up.

What’s weird is I have a RMF Acid Trip, Pink Floyd, Hawkins Enchanita, Asd Rainbow, and green slimer that all show good color and PE. The PC rainbow, Oregon Tort, Pink Lemonade and Fox Flame all look like trash

Your problem is very likely due to poor spectral distribution. You have no problem exciting green pigments which is easily obtainable with heavy blue.

If you want your red and blues to pop more you have to tone down blues and let in some 500-600nm light
This is where some of the red pigments will excite best. You will also alleviate green showing up in blue corals.

Definitely going to want a cherry bomb and solar flare soon.

Tested nitrate and phosphate today
Nitrate- 0 (salifert)
Phosphate- 0.03 (hanna)

Sailfin, blue tang and diamond goby go in the tank on Saturday
Great choices.

Definitely dose some nitrate. Take it slow though. You will see great improvements in colors. Zero means death or dinos are coming. Don’t wait. Take them to 3-5 and dose to maintain. Give it a few weeks at that and go 5-10. Then just maintain them. The new fish will help.

What are you using to dose nitrates? This is not something I had to worry about in my old tank because it was stocked so heavily.

I use the loud wolf brand. It’s a powder you mix with RO water. But my system is big. You can use Brightwell. It’s ready to dose. There’s some good info on dosing. Just do a quick search. Randy the resident chemist has all the answers for nitrate dosing. That’s how I learned just reading on here. All my early struggles came from low-zero nutrients.

Yea, i am not familiar with low nutrient systems at all, but i am confident with dosing. My tank is 220 gal, so 1 clown and one corris wrasse is obviously not producing much waste. Currently i have esv alk and cal on my Neptune dos and dose mag and acropower weekly.

I dose the nitrate by hand. I don’t always need it. I just started dosing acropower. I like it so far.
