What is your Favorite Shrimp?

Wow, this thread has just taken off. I had considered the Harlequin shrimp, but really don't feel like butchering starfish to keep them fed. The Bongo is real cool, but would be a snack for my dottyback. Looks like another fire shrimp or two might be in order.

Same boat as you, I don't think I'd have the heart to slice and dice some starfish constantly :)

i realize that those shrimp eat starfish but i have turn a page in my book of life, i use to have 12 piranhas and it got awful to feed them a mouse a week it was fun for awhile but to watch a mouse strip to nothing but a tail in 90sec got disturbing after awhile.

why would you feed them a mouse every week? Much healthier to feed them organ meat like beefheart or liver- only reason to feed a live mouse is just to amuse yourself, does nothing for the piranhas.

Yea, it's pretty good, but I don't think anything beats a good grilled shrimp with garlic butter sauce
