So I have had this coral about a year it has been doing fine and free quit a bit over the year. I was told it was a chalice but really not sure. Can you identify? Also best placement? Long story short why now I am asking. I been having problems with lights so rented par meter and the par at this spot was only like 55 par 1/2way up tank. I am buying new lights and afraid I will need to move this because getting stronger lights So need to know where. Thanks in advance

Oh by the way I turned these lights all way up and par is at around 100 is that too much of a jump for this coral at one shot?

Looks like a cyphastrea or one of the similar looking corals, they all have similar care requirements moderate flow. Par 70-150 ish

Turbinaria, medium light, medium flow. Occasional feedings of reef roids, even mysis if the flow is turned down.
I looked at both suggestions (thank you) definitely turbinaria hemmdog you mention medium flow and light. Liveaquaria says medium to strong. I am assuming then going from 50 par to 100 will not be a problem except for some temporary discomfort, correct? I will take it slow once I get my new lights.
