What light would you choose for a 350x80x70 cm tank? (11,5ft x 2,5ft x 27,5")

Im planning a new tank in the upcomming future - but i have a hard time figuring out how i should light it up cost effective (atleast the price of the lights)
So far ive only used LED lights (ghl mitras and maxspect) so i have no experience with t5 :)
Any help would be appreciated

To me, the something like the Aquatic Life Hybrid comes to mind or building something similar with aluminum strut. 2 of the 61" models with your choice of LED mixed in. These, and similar, seem to be the easiest route nowadays for exposed fixtures.

If you are planning to use a canopy, you can mount T5 retrofit kits spread throughout.

Theres also the VHO which were very popular years ago and some would argue that the light from these are better than T5. I personally have not used these but the actinic fluorescence looks to have more "pop" than tanks I have seen with T5 or LED actinic. Still readily available up to 6ft long from what I find doing a quick search.

The bar LED from Reef Brite, Orphek, etc.. are popular as well if you'd prefer all LED. I know the Reef Brite have dimmer modules and can be connected to Apex for control, the Orphek bars might too but I dont know that for sure.

Finally you could Just put 10- XR30s, 15- XR15s, 10 Mitras, or 10 Orphek Atlantic and call it a day if money allows!

Thank you for a great post!
I actually just looked at the aquatic life hybrids - but is 2 of those 61" good enough for the spread front to back? Since they are only like 18" wide :)
Filling up with ecotech or orphek atlantic would be the dream - but thats abit too expensive though :D Could start with fewer and add up once tank is ready to go - but hmm :D

Orphek. The OR150 @60" is about to be released and would cover 135" easily. You will need 8 of them OR atlantiks @ 4-6 units.
