I'm picking up and IM 30L tomorrow morning and the plan is a small SPS frag tank. I want to grow out back ups of my sticks and also just grow out some pieces to trade with local folks.

I've always been a T5 guy, but figure some budget Led's might be easiest for this build. I was thinking about 2 x Noop Mini's or 2 x Nicrew 100W, what do you think? Any other suggestions would be appreciated, just can't seem to make up my mind.

If you like T5 go with that. Especially for a grow out tank.

If you were local I would give you my Giesemann 6 bulb 36" unit. I cant give it away. Also cant ship unless you know know someone local to me that would ship it.
I used it for less than a year.
Im all led now.

Guessing I'd need at least two, right? I was looking at those today, BRS had a video with some PAR numbers posted.
1 would be enough especially since the tank is only 12” tall

I ran 3 Primes on my 30L. Awesome coverage and enough PAR headroom to grow anything.

Two Blades would work too. I say two because I wouldn't run Blades at all unless it was at least one Grow AND one Glow.

Do you have experience with them?

I do, but more importantly, several premier SPS farmers (Battle Corals and therman are the first that pop into mind) have used them exclusively for years with stellar results.

Personally, I've switched to all Primes and Hydras with upgraded LED pucks, but nobody can argue that ReefBreeders won't grow spectacular coral.
