Here is my SPS island:

First, there are a few struggling pieces here. The Mystique monti cap (purple, left side) is all but dead. The nub of acro on the right next to the psammy RTN'd. And the front teal birdsnest is doing well, but taking up a lot of space. So I'm thinking of removing them to make space for something else.

Not sure what to do with the monti cap. It still has a few polys on the edges:

This is the nub that will be removed and the space left behind:

And here's that big birdsnest. Thinking of chopping it up and putting a small branch in the back.

Now what should I put in? I am getting a bubble gum digi today, so I'm thinking of placing it where the birdsnest is. Behind the birdsnest, I'm not sure what can go there, maybe an interesting anacropora? Would like something that is not green.

What is an alternative for the monti cap in that hole? Another cap? I don't want the hole blocked since the fish love going in and out of the hole.

Any good ideas for a piece next to the psammy? I wouldn't want it invading the psammy's space. Would a garf bonzai work there?

Thanks!

And try and find the west side tort. Great looking white or blue light, bullet proof fast growing

I have even bigger problems now! That purple stylo has a branch growing between the goldenrod anacropora branches!!

The left birdsnest is getting chopped up and given away to friends (eventually, I'm bad about making time for this). I have a bubble gum digi going in its place and an acro going behind it. Also considering a garf bonsai.

Never thought I'd be considering so may SPS!!

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
