Same system as you, but I like to keep my dkh at 9-9.5, and my mag is high at 1550, I have never dosed mag , so this is pretty unusual.

And my nitrates are at 0. Do you have a fuge? Any filter floss or detritus? That could be creating nitrates.

I dnt know how nitrates could be 0...reef does requires nitrates as simple as any other light or food source to thrieve...keeping it low is always best in long term success..
Mine is mostly lps dominated tank with few sps...but i think even with full load of sps i still would keep my nitrates around 10...

Are you running a Calcium Reactor? If so the ARM will add Mg to your tank. As far as my system
Current-
ph -8.1
sal- 1.025
Mg- 1500
Alk- 11.2- Accidently increased the driprate on the Calcium reactor when I was doing maintenance the other day and also knocked my effluent chamber into the sump. Usually is at 9.6
Ca- 500
ph4 and nitr- Undetectible
