About six weeks ago I started a 210 gallon tank added five small fish that will eventually grow to be 4 to 7 inches .always wanted try coral i’ve done FOWLR tanks for years

My question is what should I do given the following (the LFS guy says do nothing and let things mature )

The tank was started with live rock so no ammonia issues when it was cycled

nitrates are undetectable on a salifert test phosphates .25 with an API test

PH is 8.2 DKA is 6.2 magnesium 1440 calcium 440 Those are with a Red Sea test kit lol (just to be fair to all vendors I have a Hanna copper checker

About two hours before I tested I added 40 ML’s of AFR. IM THINKING I’M GONNA NEED A TWO PART DOSING GIVEN THAT MY DKA IS SO LOW AND MY MAGNESIUM AND CALCIUM ARE ACCEPTABLE

But I’m turning to you all for advice I’m not gonna be adding any coral for a little while because I do know things need to equilibrate

i’ve added one LPS trumpet coral frag, it is somewhere midway between being totally contracted and” fully opened “as it was in the fish store. Temperature is 77.5°. I have Kessil 500 lights approximately 42 inches above where the trumpet is which is on the bottom of the tank. That light can be moved approximately 8 inches closer. I’ve had it for one week (salinity is 1.0245 and I’m evaping it up to 1.025.

Thanks to anyone who can tell me what they would do if they were currently in this position
