What size range of shells should I provide hermit crabs with?

What size range of shells should I provide saltwater hermit crabs with? Would a size range of 1/4" to 1" be sufficient enough for them as they grow larger?

Yes that should be good for a while, just keep in mind hermits like different shells. Red and blue legs for example will use any shell, halloween hermits will only use conch shells! So just make sure theres a lot of shells for them to pick their homes!
