Ok, so I have a 125 gallon mixed reef.

Current stock includes:

• 3 Ocellaris
• 3 PJ Cardinals
• 2 Bangaii Cardinals
• 2 Springeri Damselfish
• 1 Blue Chromis
• 1 Hector's Goby
• 1 Yellow Striped Goby
• 1 Fang Blenny
• 1 Starry Blenny
• 1 Lawnmower Blenny
• 1 Tomini Tang
• 1 Melanurus Wrasse
• 1 Green Clown Goby

Clean Up Crew includes:

• 1 Purple Pincushion Urchin
• 1 Pencil Urchin (the reef safe variety - club/mine)
• Various hermits - blue leg, red leg, and Scarlett Reef
• Various snails - Astreas, Turbo, Nassarius, Stomatella, Nerite, and Margaritas
• 1 Strawberry Conch

I'm hoping to add a One-Spot Foxface on Thursday.

I've been looking for a Red Sea/Desjardini Tang and considering adding one but so far my stores around have only had the Sailfins. What other tang should I consider or should I keep watching for a Desjardini?

I don't have an opinion about tangs but want to know how you're keeping 3 clowns. Does one just hangout on the opposite side of the tank from the other 2?

I think a 125 is too small for a Sailfin (either variety). Most of the sites say minimum 180 but people have told me they really need an 8’ tank.

Maybe a yellow or a kole?
He has a bristletooth already and you definitely don't want 2 in one tank.

I love my desjardini. He's super cool. Was a really chill dude before I bombarded him with wrasses. Now he's a little stressed and doing laps around the wave maker with the trigger

I like Kole Tangs. I used to have a Yellow Eye years ago in my old 75.

So I bought two babies when I setup the 125 and the large female from my 5 gallon "committed suicide" into the 125 and she accepted both. People successfully keep harems as long as there's only 1 female and 1 mature male. I think I got lucky and my two youngers hadn't matured yet.

I've got a blue eye Kole, Tomini, Blonde Naso and a yellow mimic for nearly 2 years no issues with 2 bristle tooths. A yellow mimic will stay small enough for a 125. Just keep them fat with plenty of nori.

Orange Shoulder is definitely a cool looking tang. I hadn't considered one but he definitely needs to be on my list!
