Just bought a new Apex. Had an old one from 10 yrs ago.

Found out during the new install that Neptune Apex did away with SMS texting for alarms / alerts.

Insult to jury, you only get an email ONCE AN HOUR for an alarm.

old system you could setup major alarms to keep texting you every few minutes. technology went backwards imo.

How is all this suppose to wake me up at 3am when an outlet fails to the stuck on position and my temp rises while im SLEEPING?

Vice versa.... power outage and tank is 69° at 730am

Guess Apex wants me to wake up to cooked fish and coral. Or an ice-cold genocide.

ONCE AN HOUR email alarms? brrrrroooo. ignorant

not enough to get my attention anytime of day, when away from the house and phone in pocket....

pH out of range, water All over the floor....once an hour? c'mon man.... that's ignorant

Looks Like Apex SMS Alerts Have Been Discontinued

I just noticed an alert in Fusion saying that my sms alert service is no longer in use due to phone carrier restrictions. This will require the use of the Fusion app now for notifications. Luckily I already use it. Might be for everyone.

Custom alert sound for apex workaround (iPhone)

Just sharing a small workaround I implemented this afternoon. If you are an iPhone user like me using apex. You hate that it is impossible to set individual alert sounds for it because it’s a 3 party app. This always result in always having to go out your way just to check your phone every push...

I just noticed an alert in Fusion saying that my sms alert service is no longer in use due to phone carrier restrictions. This will require the use of the Fusion app now for notifications. Luckily I already use it. Might be for everyone.

not an iPhone user, Samsung and Samsung Galaxy won't let you create custom sounds for push notifications

one sound applied to ALL pushes

im retired, no corporate workaround in getting email2text or email2phonecall

there are services out there for $150+ a year

this is all.extremely ignorant to me.

does a car only have a ONCE a.hour red light telling you your engine is about to BLOW UP? ah, no

oh sorry SpaceX that your Rocket blew up, you should have seen the alert a.hour ago

Well. after some deeper thought. guess I will have to research the temperature gizmos that SCREAM LIKE A BANCHEE when outside a range.

problem is I sleep with a fan, white noise.

Armageddon could be outside without me noticing. have to rely on my old lady's ears

What an absolute FUMBLE not to design a system that alerts you ongoing when things are critical

like designing a tornado siren that only goes off for 10secs

what an embarrassment for the minds at Neptune
