What to feed lps corals?

I have found that a slurry of frozen fish foods works. You turn off flow, introduce a small amount of food. Wait 10 to 20 min for a feeding response and then add more food. Don't forget to turn the pumps back on.
The deal with feeding LPS is that you don't want to drive the N/P values up significantly. Less is more.
Typically if you're feeding a decent fish population you're thus providing nutrients for corals.
I have found products specific to feeding corals problematic. It's too easy to add too much. Always reduce the recommend dose and work up. Amino acid products such as Acropower ime may lead to the development of dino.
I do use amino acid products and reef roids very very sparingly. I also closely monitor N/P values.

A little reef roids. Corals trap detritus stirred up, and whatever you're feeding your fish as well. Feeding corals can get out of hand quickly and increase your nutrient levels to undesirable amounts.

When I feed the fish mysis, I give 1 peice to each coral that can eat it. Seems lime it's improved growth and color, especially in mushrooms. I also add in 2.5ml of ab+ every week and some unmeasured amounts if phytoplanktin here and there, phyto is for all my filter feeders but ive noticed a feeding response from the corals as well.

I feed my LPS a single frozen/thawed mysis too maybe once a week at most. Everything eats it except for my splatter hammer, it won’t??? My plates, bubble, duncan, trachy, and button scolys suck them down. The mysis is more of a treat (and for me :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: ). The tank gets daily feedings of Phos-Feed nightly and Amino-Organic in the mornings.
OP remember, the advice you're getting here is from some advanced reefers with tons of experience, multiple methods of nutrient reduction at their disposal, digital testing setups or solid testing equipment/regimes and mature systems. For the average hobbiest, feeding corals heavily can lead to more problems than good. Many reefers don't feed their corals at all. Just be careful, continue your research, and always feed less than the recommended amount of any coral food as a general rule of thumb.
