I assume you are speaking about the green stuff? Or the reddish colored? a clearer pic would be better for a diagnosis

its GHA ggreen hair algae. i use algae magic as directed and it was gone in about a month and a half. Just gotta be patient and it will go.

I have a dark red algae in my tank . It grows in spots not on glass . If lightly brushed it comes off like dust . Can anyone till me what kind of algae it is and how get rid of it ?

THe algae you are speaking of is Cyano Bacteria. do a search about it. its a pain in the butt.
