Just got it today I place it higher in the tank, any one else know or have tips on how to care for it

start on the bottom and move it up. Looks like a purple stylophora. takes a lot of different lighting, med to stupid high. same for flow. pretty easy SPS. Congrats!

Will do how will I know if it's doing good?
It will look great.
Does it's current state look good
Yea it does. Consider what it's gone through. You and I would look stressed too.

It's whyball the old timers and common wisdom say to put them on the bottom in a Lower flow and light area. Like us being pulled under water held there. Put in a bag of stale air then put in the Sahara desert or downtown Los Angeles. Also a corals guts are kinda on the outside. So chemical changes are hard. Imagine if we phically ate pollution in los angels as well as breathed the air.
So by setting the frags on the bottom it allows them time to go to go into and come out of shock basicly. Its because the metabolisim slows down with less light and flow. Because both are how they eat and breathe.

It puffed back up after s couple hours we will see how it does next couple of days, I dipped them in coral rx for 10 minutes couple of them got slimy when I pulled them out but seem to look fine now
