What type of ghoniopora is this? It's from Sri Lankan waters. I want to know so I can search how to place and care for it. Thanks.

I mean which type of goniopora? There are loads of types with diffrent specs for them.

G. lobata, maybe G. stroksei would be what I would start comparing it to

I can't find anything on google about a "goniopora stroksei". 0 results :(. It does not look like goniopora lobata as i checked at the pictures from wild.
The one I have in wild comes in round rocks. Every one of them I have seen.
Also the looks seem diffrent.

LPS ID isn't my strong suit I'll admit, neither is my spelling apparently either, goniopora stokesi is correct spelling.

Both species I gave were just where I would start as a reference point,
to really give an accurate ID with gonipora I believe its best to inspect the septal arrangement in the corallites on a piece of exposed skeleton.

Thanks man. Internet contains surprisingly little information about corals that are not the main few varaities that everyone in US has! I wish atleast there is a site to give out every single corals sub categories with a picture.
