I’m devastated.. I guess it won’t be long until the other one goes too. Is there anything I can do now? With the amount of slime on it, it was accelerated and first showed up but likely there longer
Sorry to hear it died

Often hard to assess a fish once dead but a week would make sense with the onset up til deathHere is a picture of the body in case anyone can see a cause that may be other than what’s mentioned.
Pictures are attached

Thanks for your help. This is a major setback for the tank, it’s really disheartening. Not sure what I’ll do next, there are no fish left now only inverts and corals. I want to restart the tank, but maybe that’s just a fleeting feeling as I’m upset.
Thanks for your help Jay, it’s hard that there seems to be nothing I could have done. Between seeing the infection for the first time and death was less than 24 hours, and all the LFS were shut for Sunday.Sorry to hear.
You can let the tank go fallow, although the length of time needed for that for a Brooklynella infection isn't really clear to me. I would hold it empty of fish for at least 45 days, 75 would be safer, and then quarantine all new fish.
Tough to say exactly how Brook could have gotten into the tank - anything "wet" has the potential to move protozoan parasites, but with stable, long term active fish, the Brook should not have been able to gain a foothold on them.

yes, particularly if they were in a system with fish in it.Can brook be brought into the aquarium by frag plugs or anything other than fish? No fish added for months and months
Thwyre now hiding away in dark areas of the tank under rockwork where I can’t see them
