What would happen if I don't do a 20% water change after using chemiclean

Hello!

I had a question regarding chemiclean as it says to do a 20% water change after 48 hours. I however have realized that what I am truly dealing with is Dino's rather than Cyano and I know with Dino's you should not do a water change so would it be okay to not conduct a water change after the 48 hour mark?

Activated carbon should remove it. I think the water change is necessary due to the die off that chemiclean causes with cyano.

Thank you hmm in my case it turns out I didn't really have Cyano so I am wondering if it would be wise to do the water change.

I’d go ahead and do the change . I do 5-10% weekly anyways.

I recently treated my tank with cipro for 5 days then 2-3 days later did a chemi clean and didn’t do a water change afterwards. I ran chemipure instead. I saw no I’ll effects, and I don’t do water changes anyway, so I just..didn’t do one. Didn’t see a need in my situation

Thank you I usually do a weekly water change but have stopped since the Dinos so I think I won't do the water change I will be running some carbon instead.

I have gotten away with carbon and skimming (and UV and ozone).

Just mind that your skimmer might go crazy.

Forgot to mention I used a skimmer for a few days and yes it goes crazy
