Curious how all of you would design a food regimen for my tank. I know that there are tons of variables, but assume a perfect world (i.e. nutrient export isn't an issue, home all day, etc).

I'm struggling with figuring out how many times to feed, what to feed and when to feed it, how much to feed, etc. I'm currently trying out a bunch of different things and making sure that nutrient export is good. I may be overthinking this, but I'm really curious how you all would approach this. Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions & tips!

I have a 120 with 12 fish.
Tomini
Convict
Foxface
Pajama Cardnial
2 clowns
6 blue green chromis

I used to feed 2 cubes a day 4 times a day
I now feed 3+ cubes twice a day.
A blend of mysis, brine, larrys, emerald entree, seaweed delight.
I mix it up daily.
I feed some hikari herbivore pellet but not much as it has an effect on po4. The tangs and foxface love them as they will not eat nori, go figure.
The twice a day feeding has worked well now for around 6 months.

I have over 60 corals most of which are sps.
6 lps.
I do not feed the corals on any regular basis.
Maybe every 2 weeks I squirt in some oyster feast, r.o.e, or reef roids.
I have good growth with both corals and fish.

I do carbon dose a small amonut not to regulate po4 or no3 but to feed the bacteria and corals.
It is a blend of vinegar, sugar, and iron.
Ran tank for 15 moths with no carbon dosing and after 2 months coral color is much better at 8ml a day by hand.

I add nori every day, the tangs graze on It all day long. Then every other day I add a blend of Hikari mysis and the green mysis with a squirt of garlic. I make sure to feed some mysis to the lps and nems during this time

Then once a week I spot feed a cocktail of supplements ive found work, corals have a brighter color from this. I can post it if requested.

Seaweeds and the algeas i dont see being a problem.
Anthias eat a lot of small meals.... i liked the roe in the bottle... cant remember who makes but that would be good. 2 or 3x daily + ur regime.
Up the filtration if needed. Or wc.

Have you looked into an auto feeder? I feed my tank 4x a day, but I feed small amounts and am trying to get my ocellaris to breed.

Yeah, not a fan of autofeeders. Doesn't fit the look of our tank. I'm ok with feeding a couple times a day. There's always someone at the house.
