What's wrong with my clowns?

Clowns have been breathing a faster but seem to be eating okay and acting okay, I was told they look skinnt too. Not sure what is happening to their fins, they look to be pealing?

The video played for me, but in slow motion. The clowns don’t look skinny, but I can see the slightly cloudy fins and rapid breathing.

Does the tank have good aeration, not just circulation?
How long have you had these fish?
Any other fish in the tank?

Good aeration, and circulation. I’ve had them for a little over two weeks now, only other fish is a yellow watchman goby.

Gonna probably QT them and treat with Paraguard and copper, can’t find formalin anywhere to get it fast enough.

I stopped using Paraguard in marine tanks, it just failed to work. Also, dont use Paraguard and copper at the same time. Another option to formalin is Rally Pro, but it is pretty weak in comparison, bit much safer to use in a home.

I ended up using Rally Pro for 3 days so far, might continue it because I haven’t seen any change at all. They are still eating and it seems like the fins are pretty much the same as they were, but now the more solid white one has mouth abrasions that are healing. I have seen them fight, they lip-locked at one point which probably caused the lip abrasions.

I do have formalin ordered so that I have it. Would you recommend a diluted formalin bath just to rule out brook? Also, if it is brook, wouldn’t they be much worse by now?

IMO - if the fish do have Brook, the ruby reef is helping in that if not treated, Brook would have progressed to dead fish by now.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking… they are still eating but occasionally breathing fast. My Goby is totally unaffected.

The one own with the face damage and torn right pectoral fin has been fighting (and losing). You may never see that happen, and it could settle down, or the fighting could even get worse.

The video seemed to play for me in slo mo, so I couldn’t judge their respiration rate, but that’s the really worrisome symptom here. Does the tank have good aeration? Not just circulation……

update: they’re still eating, I have seen them scuffle a little bit still. Parameters are good, even did a 20% water change. Maybe I’m being overly concerned and worried that I’m not diagnosing them or missing something? Here’s today’s video of them. Can’t say they look better, though I see them everyday.

This video also played slow. I checked my playback speed and it was set to 1x

I see LOTS of damage from fighting. While there may be multiple issues here, I think you need to split these up to stop the fighting. A tank divider is best. If you need to use an isolation box, it is best to put the strongest fish in that. Then, reassess their health as they begin to heal - other underlying issues may show up better.
