Problem solved.

It was a defective power supply!

CoralVue and I were at wits end. The gyres and GIMs were sent in for testing. CoralVue could find nothing wrong, and sent them back. The reason the defect was not able to be replicated by CoralVue was that they asked me to send only the motors and GIMs.

I was in the process of sending the gyres and GIMs in a second time when luck would have it I noticed the little green light on the power supply of the not working gyre was slightly less bright than the other. I just decided to switch power supplies and, like that, problem solved!

Notorius issue. Check the ceramic ends for the shaft, May be binding and causing the intermittent run of the gyre wheel
