I tried to simplify my rodi/mixing salt by using the 44g brute for my rodi, and an old 30gal aquarium for my salt mixing. This is all in my basement and I have also avoided carrying water ANYWHERE! I have a 12v battery up near my 125dt and two "marked" switches which turn on 12v pumps in either reservoir in the basement. The dual 1/4inch lines i ran save me me hauling grief.
I simply mix salt in my 30g tank as needed.

Full strength seawater is about 35 grams of salt per kg of water. However every salt mix varies in moisture content and this way of measuring isnt exactly accurate.

You can use this calculator which gets very close.
