It is common to find threads where fellow reefers report trying to move corals to different spots in their tanks in order to get better color or better growth. It is usually chasing either more adequate light or flow.

There are also fewer cases where a coral stayed placed on the same spot for many months (or even years) before growth started.

I am interested to know different opinions of how long you wait before moving a frag from one place and trying a different one.
