When to separate fish?

At what point do you separate your fish?

I have a Melanurus and Lunate wrasse that have always gotten along, however recently they been circling each other, stalking, and slightly chasing one another from across the tank. Is this normal behavior or is this what people consider fish fighting?

The behavior you describe suggests aggression and you don’t want to risk one getting damaged
man acclimation box will be valuable in this situation

Agreed with above. Wrasses can be very complete in their aggression. I know first hand. Good luck.
