I was out of the hobby for 10 months for special circumstances, but is it me or people are leaving the hobby.
I'm saying because out of my 10 hobbyist friends only two of us remain. My LFS says the same thing . How's the hobby in your neighborhood?

Whats going on with the market.......any body knows???

The question of the poll is wrong, Its; How many of your friends have left the hobby. sorry about that. answer with this question instead please and thank you.

I know a couple of people who actually gave up and went either back to freshwater because saltwater was too difficult or just quit overall because it gets expensive. Funny story. I had a very nice couple who loved fish and they loved getting fish and coral and for months their tank would go great and then they'd add one addition and it would go to complete ich and they would have dead fish all the time and it would go back and forth. And right now they haven't really been interested so much just because of the money and disappointment they get. I feel like it's kind of like watching a tv show. You have to start watching more than one episode in this care be in it longer than a year to appreciate and enjoy it. Because once you get over certain obstacles you'll start to want to be apart of it more. About 10-11 years ago when I first started I had a little 14 gallon biocube and like all newbies I did something I wasn't supposed to. Got an anemone that I had no idea of when it dies potentially your entire tank can get nuked and everything will die. The anemone had been caught in the powerhead and was shredded to pieces and killed everything except for a clownfish. After that I tore the tank down for a couple of years and stood away and then I got back into it again and had better success because I actually started doing research.
