Where have you gone?

While driving five hours total the other day to pick up a skimmer I had some time to myself as my radio station went to static to think about all the places I have gone in the past eight months I have been in this hobby for fish expos, tanks, Skimmer's, corals, fish and so on and so forth. The guy I picked the skimmer up off @MRodrigues1991 of drove pretty far to get his reef savvy tank which was truly beautiful. So it made me think about how many miles I have gone for this hobby literally.(I'm thinking at least three oil changes 9000 miles) I'm one of the lucky ones who have a partner who is willing to hop in the car for a weekend road trip to a frag swap so most of those miles have been with the love of my life or my future wife then my future ex wife haha just kidding hopefully.

So with Santa traveling all last night it brings me to the question of how far have u gone for ur tank? What amazing stories have come of it and how many awesome people have u met?

Merry Christmas and happy new year everyone hope his thread isn't a dud as I would love to know how addicted some of u guys are.

@justingraham thanks again and hope it works out well for you. Picking up my tank was a 15 hour round trip ordeal but well worth it ! Hopefully that is the longest trip I ever take but I feel I am just lying to myself...

Yea it gets worse plus since I've seen urs u have to come see mine when it's set up. It wasn't to bad of a ride plus I will show u why u should keep those metal halides

I went on a 7 1/2hr one way trip to Virginia last weekend for the American reef and reptile expo. Only came home with a rock flower nem and a baby hognose snake, but it was well worth the trip.

I went to I believe it was Virginia Beach for mamas this year and came back with nothing but that was a fun trip just beat the hurricane as well mr salt water tv was there and Joe from the Long Island aquarium both spoke was awesome and the girlfriend enjoyed herself as well.

None at all. I was worried about the nem for a couple hours, just because I'm paranoid like that :p, but I wrapped the cup in my long johns to keep it warm. The snake was perfectly fine, she hid in the shredded paper most of the way but on occasion she poked her head out to see what was new.
It's still acclimating to the light, so I can't get a good picture but it's a beautiful dark blue with maroon red edge and little bits of white here and there.

Here's the little hognose, she's an amelanistic, and right at 8 3/4 in, still really tiny :D. I have yet to think of a name for her too ha.
