Couple years ago I bought cleaning crew of, In that list I had little hermit crabs. Maybe 1" size. Also 3" fighting conch. Just now I saw a hermit moved into this 3" conch. And he is massive! Do they become unsafe for reef?

Bigger crab, bigger appetite.
An opportunity feeder, so if he catch, he will eat.
I’ve removed all crabs back five years now.
I trust none.

I caught one of my Halloween Hermit Crabs trying to assassinate one of my snails. I loved him to the sump for three months. I moved him back into the main display tank recently since my tank is starting to mature so there isn't as much algae anymore which I assume means my snail population will diminish. For hermit crabs I now only get the blue legged crabs since they are the smallest species of hermit which are widely available.
