where do people like to by their fish? I live in Tampa so there r tons of fish and pet stores by me but I have had bad experiences with some. I haven’t tried online yet... does anyone have a preference? Is online better or worse? If online what is your favorite company to use? Thx

+1 for Live Aquaria

They also have their WYSIWYG "divers den" site that is awesome!

I've ordered 7 or 8 times from them and have been happy.

I prefer LFS personally, but then again I have a good one that is less than a mile from my house. For online liveaquaria is the most popular choice, but there are some higher end sites that are recommended (ie TSM Corals).

Liveaquaria/DD is the only one with a money back guarantee all others are store credit. I have ordered from LA for the past 20 years and haven’t had a bad experience yet

I have also ordered from bluezoo but wasn’t happy with them. They sent the cheaper fish and didn’t send the expensive one which gave me free shipping. So I got the few 10-20 fish, had to pay shipping and if I wanted the expensive fish, I’d have to pay shipping again. I also ordered for petsolutions and thatpetplace and didn’t have issues with them. Definitely ordered from liveaquaria the most.

My luck with LA has been 50-50. This past order of two wrasses and a clam were delivered with one heat pack to the North East USA from California. Needless to say the animals water temperature was 65 degrees when I took delivery. One wrasse and the clam are dead. I have never had a problem with their Divers Den fish or their packaging. For now on I’m only ordering from that division of LA

Where have you tried in Tampa? I've never bought any fish when I go down there, just lots of coral, but Coral Corral, Fish & Other Icthy Stuff, and Creative Aquariums seem to have great livestock whenever I look.

They guarantee their live stock for 14 days. It's about as good as it gets unless you have an LFS that will hold them for you for a few weeks or more. Just be aware that shipping will run you $30 or more unless you spend $100 or more.

Those r the two places I wanted to check before I ordered online because I too have heard good things about them.. I like marine warehouse they seem to be good but the last two bigger fish I have gotten from them died... I go to a few other smaller places here that I can name if u would like

Agree with going to lfs for livestock. Talk to fellow reefers, local club or forum? Word travels fast about who’s good and bad.

Fishy Business Aquatics. I've done multiple orders with them this year, and each time the fish came in the healthiest I've received after trying multiple other big names. Check their pricing, their sales prices that rotate each week are always way better than I can find other places. Their weekly clean up crew packages are always a great deal too. They offer extended warranties on the fish at extra cost, but seriously, they have shipped the healthiest fish I've received from ordering anyplace online in the past 6 years.

I only order from the LA Divers Den. Never had any problems out of it. I did have a problem with the regular LA sight but I was given a credit and another specimen. Great customer service but it seems to me Live Aquaria Divers Den is where its at.

If it comes from Divers Den it’s cared for by Liveaquaria and is observed for 14 days before it’s put up for sale. Everything else that comes from the Liveaquaria site is coming straight from Quality Marine and LA never sees or touches the fish. Essentially the LA website is a stock list of things available at QM but not everything you can get from QM as a buisness
