This is my first Sump (Sapphire 34) and I think I want to put the Auto Top Off into the return chamber. Is that the correct place? The Skimmer and Refugium section keep a very steady water level, but the return chamber keep lowering with evaporation.

Thoughts please!

Yep, put it in the return chamber. The rest of the chambers should stay stable unless the pump runs dry.

Doesnt matter where your ATO adds water.. it will raise the water level in the RETURN section.

Edit... your ATO FLOATS NEED to be in the RETURN chamber.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
