Where to top off evaporation?

Setting up plans for my fuge/refugium. There are 4 sections: the drain from the tank which will flow through a couple media trays, a fuge with baffles on the exit into the return, a sump which will house skimmer/heater with baffles on the exit into the return and a return. Since will the baffles keep the water level constant in the sump & fuge so that the only variable water level will be in the return section? And that will be where I top off water?

Mine just goes into a higher flow area in the sump, which I would suggest. Anywhere it can mix quickly with the salt water would be ideal.

I have mine going from my kalk reactor to the drain of my DT. This way, it mixes with the old SW on its way to the sump and has 60 or so gallons to mix with, before it is returned to the DT.

The return section you speak of is where I add my top off water.

Mine also top's off in the return portion of the sump

I have my topoff water flowing into the center section of my sump which houses my skimmer. I would put as as far away from teh return section so that it has time to mix before going into the tank.

i just use the sump.

My thought was to use the return pump area since that area should be the only one that fluxuates in water height? Is that a good theory?
