Testing my alk with a few Different methods and readings are all over!
Mastertronic Using Salifert ALk test =9.79
Alkatronic= 9
Trident =8.73
Hanna with brand new reagent 9.7
Hanna with reagent that is about a month old 9.3

In my opinon , Hanna's are hard to trust as the reagents drift and can change bottle to bottle. The Salifert test has always read high even with runnig it manuallly- not sure what to think
the Trident and the alkatroninc are probably the most believeable??

Not sure what to think on this one but would like to trust 1 of them!

I calibrate my Trident off my Hanna test results. I looks like you have a low of 8.73 and a high of 9.79, with an average of 9.3. I'm inclined to think somewhere in the 9-ish range is probably accurate (somewhere between the Mastertronic, Alkatronic and Hanna).

Unfortunately I find your results pretty typical. IMO, while I would aim for more like 8.5, once you are there it is more about consistency. FYI, having used all of the above I have found the Alkatronic to match ICP results much more closely than any of the others mentioned.

I agree that the Alkatronic is probably the closest to the real reading.

I took the Trident calibration fluid and tested it with my Hanna and the new Hanna reagent that gave me the 9.7 results.

The reference on the Trident bottle was 8.30.
The test came back with 9.1 which is a .8 difference and the math says my alkatronic is correct and the new hanna reagent is crap!
