Which watchman goby is better?
Post why and vote!!

I like the personality of my watchman, but sadly, it turned gray instead of staying yellow. A bit disappointing.

I love my ywg, another stunning one is a twin spot

I think I read in Paul B's thread that they can go back and forth. It may yet turn back to yellow.

i like all goby's. Personally, I have only owned the Randal's goby which I had in my last tank. He was one of my favorite fish. Appearance alone is enough to own one. If I had a little bit larger tank, I'd have another. (Makes me a little nervous to have a blenny and a goby in my sized tank.)

Neon Goby, so much personality in such a tiny fish. He shares an over hang with a Coral Banded Shrimp that's always grabbing him by the tail. Weird relationship.

I love my YWG. He's got a pistol shrimp with and they have been together since starting the tank. Love them both. Sometimes we don't see them for a bit and then we hear the shrimp so all must be ok. Our YWG went to gray and back to yellow as well.

Right now, my pistol shrimp is burrowing under the rocks with my favias and keep covering the corals with sand. So I have to blow it off and the process starts again. There are several other rocks that are on the sand bed but they prefer this one I guess.

Actually, when they go brown, they stay like that. 😎

A little older with his main squeeze.

Those are all the same fish

Surprisingly, mine did go back to yellow. He spent around 4 years as gray and now suddenly is yellow again (he was yellow when I bought him)

I'm glad you told me that. Maybe mine were all stupid. Yellow looks much better 😆

Yellow watchman gets my vote!
