Both are beautiful shrooms! Personally, I'm drawn to the bottom one more! Both are tank worthy and I would be happy to have in my own home tank! Thank you for sharing!
Do any of yall know what type it is?, im not sure if its a yuma or a ric... but honestly Im not too sure if yuma's and rics are actually the same species...Honestly both are about the same in my book!
I am by no means a mushroom expert here (torches are my thing lol) but my understanding is that you are correct in that both are technically rics just different subspecies. Yumas typically only have the "bumps" or "bubbles" toward the edge of the lips where the "rics" are all over the surface (example below). But I will defer to more passionate minds than mine for true mushroom expertise!Do any of yall know what type it is?, im not sure if its a yuma or a ric... but honestly Im not too sure if yuma's and rics are actually the same species...

There are only two recognized species of Ricordea. That doesn't mean the taxonomy won't change, but for this discussion, those are both Yumas.does this mean from my photo, top one is a ric and bottom one is a yuma?I am by no means a mushroom expert here (torches are my thing lol) but my understanding is that you are correct in that both are technically rics just different subspecies. Again- no expert here so someone please chime in and correct me if I'm wrong, but true Godzillas not only have the bigger orange "bumps/bubbles" but also have a fair amount of green in their coloring. To the best of my knowledge, that is what distinguishes them from say a King Kongalso would you happen to know what makes a mushroom a "godzilla"? My LFS told me its the way the bubbles on a ric grows, or like if a ric has big bubbles but also from posts online it seems its a color strain?
