Which NUMBER is a colony?

They are all frags, lol. A coral becomes a colony when it needs to be trimmed or removed from your system.
Now this is a colony.
Measuring 34 meters long, 32 meters wide, and 5.5 meters tall, it is larger than a blue whale and visible from space.

If you want to put the colony name on it, 12-14 are mini colonies with 14 probably pretty close to what I would expect for a colony in my tank.

But colony to me is also relative to tank size. I don’t want a 2 foot table in a 20 gallon tank. I also don’t want 50 1/2 inch nubs either.

That is no longer a colony. It is a sovereign island!
