Hope to set up my 250 this weekend. Have a tunze 6040 but not a fan of its very narrow flow. Looking at getting a nero5 style or a gyre for the tank. I like the very wide flow spread of the nero but I might need two, the gyre should get me flow throughout the tank. Which would be better for a non sps tank?

I run Maxspect XF330 gyres in my Waterbox 100g. The 330s are probably more than you need in your tank, I might suggest looking at the icecaps 1k-4k. The gyre it creates in the tank is wide and moves a lot of water in a spread not in a single narrow flow. It keeps ditritus from building up... though I am looking for a second xf330 pump to give alternate flow as well.
