I have narrowed it down to two either the Bubble King Supermarin 200 or the Alpha 170. The protein skimmer will be for a 137 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump really heavy bio load. Unsure witch one i should choose? I know either one will be fine just unsure which will be better over all.

Either one will do a good job, although I've heard many people say they love their Bubble King.

Ya seems like I'm getting the alpha then just because replacement parts and cost. Thanks.

Go out the box like I did and get a AquaMaxx EM200 or 300, affordable and works like a horse and very quite.

Vertex. These Skimmers utilize the same pump. They are almost the same skimmer, with the exception of the foot print.

I use a reef octopus on mine, my buddy picked up a bubble and was extremely dissatisfied. So I would say go with the Alpha :)
