I'm thinking of changing my Eheim 1250(317 GPH) and on the fence which one to get. It's either the Eheim 1260(635 GPH) or the Tunze Recirculation pump(634 GPH). My 1250 is fine but more flow would be better. The Tunze is much cheaper than the Eheim, plus you can adjust the flow directly from the pump. Any suggestions are very much welcome.

I don't know much about the tunze pumps but if you like the eheim you should consider the 1262,it's not much more cost but has more flow and it's a great pump...eheims are a bit pricey but are an excellent pump....my 1262 has never failed me and it's about 3 yrs old now and still works as good as when I bought it

what size tank and skimmer?????

I got a 57 gallon Oceanic and a ATB 840 v1.5. The skimmer picks up everything that goes down the sump. Is it even worth it to change my return pump or just leave it as is?

can't you just buy the 1260 volute/cover and put it on the 1250?

I know you are not considering it but I switched from Eheim to Oceanrunner and the only difference I can tell is in my wallet. The OR2500 would be great for that size tank.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm just going to leave the way it is, thanks Dylan for the added push..LOL. I might consider dwl suggestion about changing the volute to gain more GPH. Thanks again guys!
