so i just bought my new tank 57 gallon deep blue edge planning on getting eshopps 100 sump pretty sure the overflow is around 600 gph but un sure what return pump to get looking for something good at a decent price what would you guys suggest

internal pump or external? I assume internal so I suggest a mag drive 7 ( 700 gph) I have this one on my tank and its great! very quiet and reasonable!!

yup internal thanks.. also what do you guys think of the proflex sumps there almost double the price of the eshoops but seem to have a spot for a fuge in the middle are they worth the money?

Welcome and cant even begin with the fuge thing bro, I dont know about them. LOL

I have a quietone 3000 which is right around 600gph at 4 ft i believe, and it doesnt use to much wattage. you can also look at the ehiem 1262 which is what i originally wanted but was just more than i was willing to spend. i have a 40 breeder with the gl*******s 700gph over flow. good luck

why do ppl keep recomending mag drive pumps? they heat your tank and eat up the power.
id look to perhaps a rio HF series, ehiem both are pretty power friendly and dont heat the tank. if your going to run reactors later obviously this is a good time to plan that

My mag doesnt do anything to my temp, but I guess in smaller tanks that makes a difference........

i ordered a mag 7 online but it wont get here till then end of the week i have a quietone 2200 lying around which is 550 gph do you think i could use this as my return till my mag 7 gets here?

+1 on the magdrives mad heat and I have had alot of impeller issues with the larger 1200 and up pumps. I love my reeflo although I know there not internal
