Hi all,
Wondering who to trust. Salifert has DKH at 7.7. My Hannah has it at 5.5. Mag and calc are very similar so I’d like to do soda ash to raise DKH but who’s reading is more accurate? I guess I could average at 6.6 but was hoping for some insights.

I’d say the Hanna is probably more accurate . IMO

Just an educated guess here but Salifert. Hanna reagents are more widely known to have issues compared to Salifert

However, make up some new water and test the alkalinity with both. That should give a clue to which is more accurate (or at least more reliable)

I only have the Hanna Po4 kit so can't comment on their Kh test kit but my Salifert has been reliable. I just got a new box in today and it measured dead on with my old box. So very consistent.
