Which type of hammer?

I thought they were both branching hammers but the gold hammer (on the sand) seems to be growing in a different way to the dual colour one on the rocks which I think is the branching one.

 
One in sand is defiantly branching, Other one looks branching as well, just different polyp. Could be from flow.

some split before branching
pictures of the skeleton would help better distinguish which you have
but there’s also H U G E variety’s i think some Malaysian and some aussie are that way
at least the ones i’ve got have been
while some others stay smaller/ branch more than split

That’s the skeleton of the gold one. The other ones is just one solid piece.
