I'm looking at dosing pumps to start dosing kalkwasser to my 40 breeder. I've yet to determine the exact alk/calcium usage, but it's definitely low at this time as I only have a few sps frags. I've got quite a bit of coraline too. I want a pump that can dose low amounts and has built in programmability. I've seen the Kamoer X1 Pro and the Ecotech Versa. I've read many reviews for both saying they have issues. I'm leaning towards the versa as of right now, but I want to know what your experiences have been with these two. My biggest issue with the Versa is availability right now.

I'm not going to consider using a pump with a separate timer as I'd rather not have multiple points of possible failure.

Will you please elaborate as to why you prefer this pump? If dosing, for example, 300ml per day, would I be able to dose ~12 ml per hour at a rate of 2ml per minute, totally 6 minutes per hour? I see that it has a variable dosing rate, but can you choose how long it takes to dose a specific amount?

I went a little overkill with it, but plan to move it to the much more suitable position of a calcium reactor. Starting to push too much water through there.

I do like an 80/20 method, 80% comes from the kalkwasser and the remainder 20 comes from Alkatronic controlled dosing.

I am going with two Ecotech, one single to dose kalk and the 4 head Ecotech to dose what I need for this new 300 gallon build I been doing. Since I just bought 4 Ecotech Gen XR30 blue, I want to keep things simple and just use the Mobiua app.
But I did buy Kamoer after my visit to WWC in Florida but I returned it.
Both options are great...

I know the OP has already got a pump but I just want to add that I recently got several Kamoer X1 (not the pro) and I absolutely love them. I can't image using them for any kind of continous duty but for just dosing same alk/cal they are great, ecspecially for the price.
