All of them are beautiful! Another choice if cost is an option on the Flame wrasse, is a Red Velvet Wrasse.
If I could have only one it would have to be the Flame wrasse.

They are cool looking fish, but I couldn't imagine keeping a wrasse that gets to be over a foot in length...

for all of you that have the lineatus and rhomboid in the same tank, doesn't the lineatus try to kill the rhom?

Nah, they'll squabble a bit from time to time, but they tolerate each other. Tank size does matter here, however.

Our Lineatus and Rhomboids (as well as the rest of the fairys and flasers) coexist just fine. Our Lineatus is currently the dominant fairy (and the largest). He will, on occasion, flex his muscles a bit by displaying and giving an occasional chase to keep everyone else in line.

I have a male lineatus and rhomboid in a 120. The lineatus is a little smaller but is the dominant one. He gives the Rhomboid a little chase on occasion but that is about it. There's never been any nipping and he doesn't even flash him. The only fish the lineatus ever flashes is my midas blenny.

My experience was actually the exact opposite for a while. The Lineatus was added after the rhomboid, but was larger. The Rhomboid terrorized the lineatus for a couple of months (not exactly trying to kill him, but definitely showing him who was boss) They have worked it out and been in the tank together for almost two years now. They are both gorgeous fish.

Funny you say this. My lineatus had always been the dominant one. Two weeks ago I moved them from a 120 to a 315 and a few nights ago I noticed the rhomboid flashing the lineatus. I'd never seen the rhomboid flash before. It quickly escalated into the rhomboid terrorizing the lineatus for an hour until I turned off the lights. Things seemed to have settled down for now but the lineatus now gives him plenty of space.
