I have a RedSea 130D Max all in one aquarium for a mixed reef tank with mostly LPS and soft corals. I run a tower tray with mechanical filter, Chemipure, and phosban. My levels for foundation elements are as follows:
Calcium 450
Alk 8.7
Mg 1500
Nitrates, phosphates, ammonia and nitrite are all zero. I currently am using ionic two part dosing of calc/alk and I use RedSea reef energy A & B.
My problem is the following: One live rock and two turbo snail shells are turning white. I am very concerned as turning white is usually not a good sign. I am fairly new to the hobby (< 2 years) and am looking for some guidance on what to check. I've read de-calcification or "white corraline" could be the cause. HELP!!! Thanks in advance!

I can say my corraline likes nitrates. I have had it turn white as it was eaten by starfish.

That makes sense to me. So just feed more often? I know zero nitrates isn't really a good thing.

If my Alkalinity starts dropping even a little, my coralline starts bleaching white. Luckily, it always comes right back strong.

Yes, don't worry too much, it will come back.
