Any thoughts on what these white discs hitchhiking on this frag plug are? I had the plug on my rocks for a bit and they started growing on the rock. I am able to scrape them off with a metal tool but a toothbrush was not effective.

What kind of snails do you have?

All sorts. Mexican turbos, Bumble Bees, Dwarf Ceriths, Florida Ceriths, Nassarius Vibex (the small ones), Tongan Nassarius (the large ones), Nerites, Astreas, and Trochus.

I’ve seen snail eggs on the glass before but nothing that looked like these.

I can’t be positive but I’m reasonably sure the dots on the top of the frag were there from the store. I seem to recall thinking it was interesting that they survived the dip in ReVive.

Those are nerite snail eggs. They will leave them all over the place, including the glass.
Most likely. Taking a closer look, I see them on the back wall of the tank in some areas I haven’t scraped recently.

Much appreciated friends!
