white film question

my rodi salt water mix in my trash can has a white film on the sides is it still ok to use ? i noticed it this morning when i went out to do my water change .. was going to break out the test kit and see what is up .. its like slit on the side .. anyone know or have had this happen to them ..

Is your trash can a food service type? If not the salt could change the chemicals the can is made out of. Just a thought. (smart & final or another store like them).

no its a brute .. but i did find out what it was tonight .. its the cal from my salt cause i use red sea coral pro salt ... n it makes a white film in the can ..
