So my tank is 4 months old. A few months back I noticed one white spot on my life rock. I just kinda thought it was chipped or whatever. Now it's popping up all over the place. Almost overnight. For my cuc I have snails and 2 hermit crabs. They have been in there for 2-3 weeks. Any idea what this may be?
I did do some searching and saw where it may be snail eggs or a urchin. I don't have a urchin and it don't look like the snail eggs I've seen in my search results. So I figured I'd reach out to you guys for help. TIA

It appears to just be losing it's color, not necessarily from getting chipped. Just worn down overtime. I had some purple life rock tbag did the same over the course of a year.

Got any clearer photos, possibly with some white light?

It's solid and gritty.
Likely calcarious substance
You can blow with turkey baster to see if any of it dislodges or scrub in container of tank water with a firm toothbrush or leave as is
