tang eats and can only notice its white belly when it sleeps. does not have any signs of ich either. I have had it in quarantine for 2 months and have dosed stress guard daily.

I had several fish that would change or lose color when they sleep. Only thing I can guess is it’s a camouflage or they are trying to blend in with the surroundings while they slept so predators wouldn’t spot them. Nothing to worry about if the fish is acting normal and has normal color during the day.

It’s normal , mine does the same thing every night. His color fades as he sleeps and brightens back up as he wakes up
