So I'm trying a copperband again after a failed attempt last time.

I've had it in the tank now 24 hours and has only just come out of qt from the LFS.

Today I've noticed a fairly big white mark on its side, my first thought is it's a graze from a rock. Any ideas?

Could be a scrape, my PBT used to do that quite a bit (he loves darting in and out of rock work). I would keep an eye on it if it’s a scrape it should start disappearing in 12 hours or so. I would keep a close eye on him and be ready to QT just in case.

Yeah I'm hoping it is a scrape. It definitely looks like one and it's literally appeared like that from the the time I left for work and got home again

Is he eating ok? He’s not hiding or doing anything unusual? No flashing?

He eats when I'm able to get the food to him, my tang and chromis are just so quick to get all the food I have to distract them!
he swims around the whole tank often but will still go behind the rocks occasionally. Only been in tank a day so I expect him to be getting used to it etc
